Luna’s Fidget Trading Expands to Sundays at The Catch in West Palm Beach

Luna’s Fidget Trading is growing! What started as a fun way for kids to bring their favorite fidgets, trade with friends, and meet new people has turned into a great little community at The Catch Seafood & Sushi in West Palm Beach.

Our regular Saturday Fidget Trading from  4PM to 7 PM is continuing, and we are now adding a brand new Sunday afternoon session from 2 PM to 4 PM on a trial basis. That means more chances to trade, more new friends, and more weekend fun for families across West Palm Beach. Here is everything you need to know.

The Catch Seafood and Sushi | Luna’s Fidget Trading Expands to Sundays at The Catch in West Palm Beach

What Is Luna’s Fidget Trading?

Luna’s Fidget Trading is a friendly swap meet made just for kids. Children bring the fidget toys they already own, show them off to other kids, and trade for something new. One child might trade a squishy dumpling for a sparkly fidget spinner, while another swaps a rainbow pop it for a mochi squishy they have been wanting for weeks.

Fidget toys have become one of the most popular collectibles among kids, and trading them is half the fun. Rather than buying something new every time, trading lets kids refresh their collection with toys they are genuinely excited about. At The Catch, that excitement has turned into a regular event where kids can meet other collectors in a cheerful, welcoming space.

Saturday Fidget Trading Continues: 4PM to 7 PM

Saturday remains the main day for Luna’s Fidget Trading. Every Saturday from 4 PM to 7 PM, kids gather at The Catch Seafood & Sushi, 529 25th Street, West Palm Beach, FL 33407, to trade, play, and make new friends.

The trading usually happens outdoors on our green lawn, surrounded by string lights, tropical plants, and our tiki style covered patio. It is an easy setting for kids to spread out, sit in circles, and lay out their collections while parents relax at a nearby table.

NEW: Sunday Fidget Trading From 2 PM to 4 PM

We are adding Sundays from 2 PM to 4 PM on a trial basis. If Saturdays do not work for your family, or your kids simply want another chance to trade, Sunday afternoons are a great time to stop by.

Because the Sunday session is a trial, the best way to help keep it on the schedule is to come out and join the fun. The more families who show up, the more trades, new friends, and good times there are for everyone.

What Kids Can Bring to Trade

Almost any fidget or sensory toy is welcome at the trading circle. The most popular items include:

  •       Squishies: soft, slow rising toys in every shape and color
  •       Pop its: bubble popping boards in rainbow, animal, and novelty shapes
  •       Fidget spinners: classic spinners in metal, plastic, and light up styles
  •       Mochi: tiny, squeezable mochi squishies that are easy to collect
  •       Dumplings: squishy dumpling and bao style toys, a fan favorite
  •       Nee Doh’s and sensory toys: stretchy, squeezable toys kids love to collect
  •       Other fun fidgets: anything else your child is excited to show off and trade

Kids are encouraged to bring their favorite pieces as well as a few items they are ready to part with. A small bag or pouch keeps everything organized and makes it easy to show off the collection.

The Ground Rules: Be Kind, Trade Fair, Make New Friends

The idea stays simple, and the number one rule is to have fun. Beyond that, we ask every trader to follow three guidelines:

  •       Be kind. Every collector deserves respect, whether they bring one toy or twenty.
  •       Trade fair. Both kids should feel happy about a trade. If someone says no, that is okay.
  •       Make new friends. Fidget trading is a great way to meet kids who share the same interests.

These rules keep the trading circle positive and welcoming. Parents often tell us their kids come home talking about the new friends they made just as much as the new toys they picked up.

The Kindness Basket: Everyone Gets to Join In

Not every child shows up with something to trade, and that is perfectly fine. If your child does not have anything to swap, they can check out the Kindness Basket and join the fun right away.

The Kindness Basket reflects what this event is really about. It is not about who has the biggest or rarest collection. It is about sharing, including everyone, and making sure every kid feels part of the group. Families with extra fidgets at home are always welcome to add a few to the basket so the next child can enjoy it too.

Why Fidget Trading Is Great for Kids

Fidget trading may look like simple play, but kids gain a lot from it:

  •       Social confidence: Kids practice introducing themselves, starting conversations, and asking questions.
  •       Fair negotiation: Trading teaches kids to think about value, make offers, and accept a polite no.
  •       Sharing and empathy: The Kindness Basket and the be kind rule encourage generosity.
  •       Screen free fun: Hands on, face to face play is a welcome break from devices.
  •       Shared interests: Kids connect over something they genuinely enjoy, which makes new friendships easier.

For kids who are shy in bigger group settings, fidget toys give them an easy way to break the ice. Holding up a favorite squishy and asking “want to trade?” is often all it takes.

What Parents Can Enjoy While the Kids Trade
